This was great as I am that person looking at the Santa Fe vs. Defender vs. Grenadier. When I first saw the Santa Fe from the side, I had to do a double take as it looked like a 130 at first. I know the wife will love the Santa Fe, but I am more in line with the Grenadier living in the mountains. There are 10 miles of gravel/dirt/snow between our home and the nearest asphalt.

I enjoyed your review and felt compelled to add a comment. Well, I'm in my 6th Cadillac and my 3rd time with the XTS! I lost my previous one through hardships, but one just like it 5 months later. I have the Metallic Adriatic Blue, with shale interior, just like the last one, but this one has a matching blue ragtop. It's an awd and local driving, back and forth to/from work gets me near 20 miles per gallon avg, with my best highway mileage at 35.1 per gallon. Btw, the engine is a 3.6 V6 with the Luxury trim package. It currently has just over 53k miles and is smooth as well as quiet. I did a good review and found out that the 2016 is the better among the crop.

I put 18 in wheels on my expedition platinum, which is mechanically very similar to the Nav. The ride quality improved greatly from the OEM 22s. If I had the Nav, I'd lose the 22s and go with 20s or even 18s. It may not look as good, but much more comfortable. Unless you have air suspension, 22 in wheels suck for bumpy roads, IMO.

Ive had my 2024 Si for 5 weeks & loving it. Ive driven manuals on & off for 30 years & this car is very easy to drive & I like the rev match as well. This car also has more HP than 200 & more torque than advertised. Ive driven several 10th gens & the 11th definitely is not down power. Some dynos have it between 216-220 & I would say more 210-215, just my thoughts.

Sounds like insane fuel economy for the size of the car. How did you find it in terms of road noise, wind noise and damping on the crappy canadian roads. I do value quietness and supple ride. I suppose you didint drive it above hwy speed limit but wonder any wind noise from sunroof when closed. ?
